Tokyo 2020 Olympics trip

 Kia ora bloggers!

Today hay park school seniors went to the NZHQ Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games fan zone. there was an Olympian there her name was Debbie Tanner she competed in the triathlon in 2008 in Beijing (China). I enjoyed watching the rowing in the fan zone and playing the cricket game. I learned that 211 athletes are competing from New Zealand at the Tokyo Games and I learned that there are 3 Olympic values - friendship, respect, excellence.

thank you for reading.

would you go there?

The Wonder Project

 Kia ora bloggers,

in the senior school we have been learning about rockets designs and Newton's Laws of Motion. We have learnt about how to be safe when launching rockets. There are some very important safety rules that you need to follow when launching a rocket. Some of them are:

  • wait until the rocket has landed before you go to retrieve it
  • don't launch the rocket when it is windy or rainy
  • wear safety googles and a hi-vis vest

My favorite part was launching the rocket.
What I found challenging was building the rocket.
I would like to do this again.
