For the last two weeks, paterson class has been learning about polynesian wayfinding navigation and waka.
As you can see on the picture, we have even created our own waka on tinkercad. I decided to do mine with two hulls like a real waka hourua, the maori pacific sailing canoes. Everybody has a job on the waka! My job is to be responsible for the water! Everyday I check that the water is good for us to drink and get ourselves clean. We eat together at lunch time the delicious meals that our cook prepared. In the afternoon, we do some arts, like decorating our waka. Sometimes we also do some physical activity. What a great adventure to be on a waka!
